I decided that this year I would give myself permission to be lazy--permission to enjoy a day of doing nothing and not feel guilty about it. I usually spend the rare days off feeling guilty that I should be doing something on my to-do list. Isn't it typical of mothers? There's more to do than there is time, and guilt overrides any opportunity to enjoy laziness.
So, for 2010, I will enjoy my lazy days without guilt and read books without thinking I should be working on something else. (Let's see if this pans out.)
